Rodan 'Pink Drone' Billboard

The wood for the new Rodan 'Pink Drone' Billboard (8ft x 20ft) was recycled from the former Monitor cleaners billboard which was located at the corner of Wilson and Clark in Uptown. I just happened to drive by the same day they had taken the sign down and these panels were just sitting in the alley waiting for me. It took a few coats of gesso to cover but I think they worked out great! Recycle and reuse... or at least utilize opportunities when they arise.

Making a few life-size, wood cut-out stencil figures that will be lingering throughout the Pitchfork Festival grounds this weekend. Also, making a sculpture for the entrance. Check out pics of pieces being constructed before painting. Can you guess the usual suspects? Thanks Mike and Noelle for coming through to help out with cutting stencils and making new calluses.
